Mystic Dunes Golf Club
Kissimmee, FL 34747
Mystic Dunes Golf Club was designed by PGA Tour Professional and NBC golf analyst Gary Koch. Opened in 2001, Mystic Dunes is a par 71, 7012-yard course layout, unique to Orlando golf courses. Mystic Dunes Orlando golf course consists of two distinctly different layouts that take advantage of the unique topography, offering the golfer a fantastic and memorable experience. The "low country-style" eastern, front nine is reminiscent of classic Carolina-style courses, meandering through native wetlands and marsh areas, bordering oak and cypress forests.
The western, back nine has the characteristics of a British Isles links course, with extensive perimeter mounding and pot bunkers as well as large, expansive, sandy waste areas bordering lush green, rolling, sweeping, and perfectly manicured fairways. Water comes into play on just one hole - the extremely scenic and challenging par three #11 waterfall hole. Holes 15 through 18 have been called "four of the best finishing holes you'll find anywhere," according to Golf & Leisure Magazine.
Koch designed the Mystic Dunes to be player-friendly, yet rewarding to the strategic golfer. Almost every green is accessible with run-up shots: instead of bunker-infested greens, the special feature is collection areas characterized by unique "bumps and humps". The course challenges golfers to play it smart off the tee, deliver solid iron shots into the greens, and put on undulating greens for a true test of golf.

No parallel fairways, in fact I can only think of 4 holes where you can see the next tee from the green. I can only think of one hole where you can see another fairway from the one you are playing.
These greens are either very big and undulating (on the long holes) or small and undulating (on the shorter holes) and if you play this course twice you can have 2-4 club differences on most greens and the putts be totally different day to day.
Very close to Disney, easy to find, winter starters and rangers are in Red Blazers, vests, ties, and knickers and work very hard to please. Played in about 4:20 to 4:30 in busy winter season.
I play this course often in the winter and enjoy it every time. Once out on the course you will not believe you are two miles from Disney World.
