Orange Lake Resort (Legends)
Kissimmee, FL 34747
The Links and The Pines. The Arnold Palmer-designed Legends Course at Orange Lake Resort features two distinctly different nines. Orange Lake Resort Orlando features 36 holes of championship golf, including the Legends Golf Course. Reminiscent of old Scottish-style courses, "The Links" wide-open nine will bring windy conditions into play that can make club selection challenging. Strategically contoured greens require well-placed approach shots and precision putting. The longest of Orange Lake's challenging golf holes at 610 yards, The Links Hole #4 is a good warm-up before venturing into "The Pines".
Towering pines, majestic oaks, winding fairways, and flowing water create a serene setting complementing each hole on the back nine. Tee shots are fired between strategic openings cut through the trees. A wayward shot here could result in a ball pushed deep in the woods. Much like the classic courses of North Carolina, proper club selection and accuracy are required to successfully navigate through The Pines. The Island Oak, hole #13, is the feature hole at The Legends course.
Orange Lake Resort offers two championship layouts: The Legends Golf Course and The Reserve Golf Course at Orange Lake Resort. The Legends at Orange Lake earned the designation as one of the best golf courses in Orlando in 2011, 2014, and 2017.
If you're looking to save some money now, play the more affordable Reserve Course at Orange Lake. The Reserve course offers a traditional Florida course design.

I booked online, as this was cheaper and easier, as it turned out, than when I called the resort directly to do this?? Also the club hire/rental was more expensive than the round of golf itself?? And the club hire/rental was more expensive and of lower quality (in my opinion) than at other courses in the area. Also no range balls were offered despite me asking at the Pro shop when checking in, and no GPS on carts despite this now being stated on some promotional websites (perhaps not Orange Lake's fault this one?). The Legends Course was not in good condition and the greens were very hairy (with a noticeable amount of weeds?) and slow in comparison to the other courses I played in the Orlando area. Disappointing overall and will unfortunately think twice about playing this course again. I have played the courses at Orange Lake on a number of occasions, and sad to say that standards have slipped in my opinion. Sorry, but very disappointing!!! Falcon's Fire is a much better play and the service is definitely with a smile at this course ...
